i remember, sometime ago my love, when i could see you before me. but now you're lost and my heart can never again feel your laughter, and clear voice. i remember in the blazing sunshine, in the college room, one day you were framed like a picture in the doorway. and i remember when you'd drink at the water-fountain, how beads of water would stay bright on your face. i think of you like this: how can i lose her that i love so much? i never touched your hands, i never told you i felt an ache of red love for you you are too far now. |
