hmmm
that would be winter of one's life, for sure

but this too shall pass
and spring will rise again

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

hi, read this earlier and have been thinking about how to make a worthy comment...still can't find the words to do justice to this senryu but think your last line is exquisite and help induce a sense of melancholy...

how can this be overlooked? BTTT!
