Sleek, Black
All chrome and
Horsepower
Sitting at a stoplight
I look over and grin
Come get some

Changes to green
And I let loose
700 horses grab
The street
And I scream
I AM THE BULLGOD

G-forces push
me back, and its like sex
Metallica
Screams through the
Speakers
They understand

0 to 60 in a blink
16 year old in a
Mustang hangs his head
I laugh and rip rubber
Again in third gear
And hit the button
Nitrous

I hit a hard left
Sliding onto my street
Slow it down
Kids play here
And heart racing
I park my minivan
And go inside to see my girls

Who said James Thurber was dead??? lol
Too many afternoons I have myself been driving that Cherry Red 64 1/2 Mustang and looked down to see the dash of my Cavelier.
This gave me a laugh I had been needing for a couple of days. Thanks Millions.

Oh, I do so know what you mean! I've done the same thing!

With a spoiler on the back and 4-on-the-floor, I scream those tires and peel away in my new "4-cylinder" Pontiac Sunfire!

Happy trails!

Having once driven a hopped up 73 Plymouth Satellite with power and a cam that bumped like it had hips.... I KNOW WHAT YA MEAN!!!  Love the poem, the ending cracked me up!

Once a cop pulled up to me at the traffic light while I was on my way to work. Billy Idol was blaring so loud I couldn't hear what he was yelling at me through the window - I turned the speaker down and he said... Nice Car! Turn down the music... its only 7:00 a.m.  (hehehehehe)

Great poem! I really enjoyed this one. I've always dreamed of getting a '70 challenger.

Jason, I love this...and that ending was so cute. My brother had a Mustang. That was a pretty little car.

My late husband and I had a 87 SS MonteCarlo turbo-coupe (the kind they had to make a certain number of for Dale Earnhardt to race in Nascar with that year). It was black with a red pin stripe. I just sold it a few months ago and hated to get rid of that car. When it was new, I got my first two speeding tickets in it. That thing would run when it was new. LOL

How about a '58 Del Ray Coupe?

- just kidd'n -

By the way, anybody know what I'm talking about?  So rare, I haven't seen one since I sold mine.  Think they all went to the crusher . . .

Jason, you had me going here.  I personally get into the muscle cars myself (And under their hoods)  Mustangs are my favorite and I could imagine my self cruising in one and blowing the shorts off the other guy challenging me.  You are such a chameleon with words!  I laughed myself silly, you bad boy!
