Slouched against
the couch
she clutches
her belly and
pushes it tightly
together at her
belly button
Look a bagel
she says

I clutch mine
and answer
Look a loaf

She laughs aloud
music to my ears
her bright eyed smile
tugs at me

Raised eyebrow
You know who else's
birthday it is today?

She loves to tease
knowing how much
I hate him
I cringe and
she bursts into
a new fit of laughter

It's there,
her sister in the
kitchen fixing dinner

I ache to tell her
I've loved her
from the very first day,
that the thought of her
melts away everything
until all that's left
is her smile

Come and eat!
Her sister's voice
drags me back to reality

And the promise
made to never tell
her sister all I felt
Besides,
I think to myself
in true form
she'd never fall
for a guy like me anyway

like this... nicely captures a moment and a feeling to wrap around it...

one truly never knows who and or what type another falls for... until they invest some time and  find out...

good stuff Raph... very nicely done.

Aenimal (Raph?)  I like the tenderness of the view from your eyes in this...the fun of the bagel and loaf gave me smile.  Much enjoyed!

You are such a treat to read....

Lauren~

I close my eyes and there in the shadows I see your light
You come to me out of my dreams
Across the night

Raph, I like the way you let your guard down in this one....

It had a really tender touch to it. I
really like it...belly roll part and all...

Heart hugs,
Ethel
