I don’t own, the shadows,
But I know them well enough,
The smooth of,
The still of,
The inner parts that get rough;
I walk them.

I don’t own, the sorrows,
They are emotional winds,
Just blowing
And going,
Only to pause and never end;
I ride them.

I don’t own
Gloom,
I’m just a teaching student,
That being
And seeing,
Can’t sway where the future’s sent,
I just feel.

Gloom

I like how you turn the tables
on ownership and make it acceptance,
and not simply a passive acceptance
but an active one.

"I’m just a teaching student,"

I especially like that ^ line.

It's always good to see and read
the Gloom. *s

I never lived in the shadows before...
I never felt this side of life's gloom
But the sorrows that accompany
the winds of each day
have countered my life
and filled it with doom.

a perfect Reflection

(big hugggssssssss) Therefore, that also means you are acquainted with life, light, hope, and so the sunbeam can always beam through your heart as you may not own it but you can still possess it! (smiles) This is lovely, sweet friend, yay, this has my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Aszard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

"I'm just a teaching student."---I love that line! I have been a teacher of many things and I still consider myself a student. I am of the mind, if you want to learn something, teach it!

This was superb on so many levels--from your presentation to your content!

Warm Springtime hugs,
EA

Acceptance is the only way to deal with any negative forces, and you sir, turned yours into an extremely positive one.  This is certainly a very book worthy piece.

This poem is very interesting, and I enjoyed it.

Sometimes we have to follow a stronger voice, even if it's silent.
