art by Sunny

I think we need to have a little heart to heart
Remember how we used to talk all night?
Some things have come between us and we need to start
Recapturing the times that felt so right...

You know how much I love you, and you feel the same
But sometimes daily problems dim the glow
When angry words are spoken it ignites a flame
And hurtful words just make the distance grow...

In the light of day we feel as strangers do
And neither one of us think we were wrong
But sometimes love has ups and downs, (more than a few)
Still, in our hearts we know that we belong...

So, come on over here, and share some time with me
Just sit right down and look into my eyes
We'll have a heart to heart over a cup of tea
And maybe then we both will realize...

That every couple needs their little heart to hearts
To help them keep communication strong
It's simple, just a smile can be the place to start
To feel the love that's been there all along...

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy heart  ~~S~~

Beautiful. A treasure for the eyes, and heart.

Words of wisdom that I could have used many moons ago. Perhaps, with your reminder on here, I shall never forget again.

Sunny - you certainly came right to the point.  Without good communications, you can wrap it up and throw it away.  Great job - i really enjoy and appreciate your poems.

..."but sometimes daily problems dim the glow"--so true, that is why we all need to have a lot of fans by the fire to keep it burning!

A beautiful and meaningful write.

---and your artwork was the perfect accompaniment to your words!

Springtime hugs,

Ah, a voice of reason, which seems to be so much more frequent from the woman..I like this, and the hearts made a perfect picture to go with.

It's like you are speaking for me.
Sooo well said, Sunnyone!
