I woke last night and went outside
to remember the day i heard you had died

to stare into the deep blue sky
to feel the moon shine down from on high

I thought of you, as I sat on our swing
when we were younger, carefree, as birds on wing

I wished you were there in the darkness just then, even for a minute, just to see you again,

but all i can do is dream of you as the silvery stars float by.A tear trickles down, I hate when I cry.

I wish I'd been there to kiss you good bye,
to watch you ascend, an angel, to the sky.

Now i lay hear and dream of you, yearning for the day,
you come back from heaven to take me away.

RD - know this feeling all too well - this is lovely:

to watch you ascend, an angel, to the sky.

And ascend they did xxoo
