This is a silent soliloquy
For an empty theatre
The standing ovation
From an imaginary crowd

This is a crown of thorns
For the son of a dragon
Who could not draw
The sword from the stone

This is the memory
Of a girl I once loved
A lady of Winter
Who faded with the dawn

This is blood, fire, ice
A final, falling tear
This is the warmth
Of her last embrace
This is her voice
Fading on the wind

This…
This is the broken mirror
Of my dreams

Dream -

This is a crown of thorns
For the son of a dragon
Who could not draw
The sword from the stone

Keep trying - this was haunting yet lovely
