Phases of the Moon

Each night I dance a different tune.
Like the phases of the moon
Within the shadows misty way
That disappears when comes the day.

Buttered with a magic whip.
I give reality the slip.
And take a phantom lively tour.
On to fantasies allure

It’s only lately I control.
The outcome of the nightly dole
Took a lifetime to find the key.
And much to my dismay you see.

For I am now in final phase
And overcome by backward gaze.
And cannot hack the rash and dash.
I’ve lost the essence of my brash.

So once again I turn the bend.
With the same, Oh Henry end.

Now here I am smiling with O. Henry...I hope you're feeling a bit better today, Sy - at least well enough to keep the rest of us content with our daily dose of sy-isms....

Thank you for all you bring to Passions...

I'm just sitting here smiling at you for that clever, cooooooooool line...
You are quite the magic whip yourself Sy-guy..and the extra butter on me mothy popcorn *L* and I do so loooooove butter--it ranks up there with raspberries. LOL

Sending you mothy hugs and TLC back rubs

Good morning, Mr. T.! Well, it looks like it will be a much better day for me, now that I have had a sip of your wit!

"For I am now in final phase
And overcome by backward gaze."

--Oh, if only I could turn back the hands of time for you...

.......I just discovered I can!--and I am going to write a poem for you and post it!

Wonderfully written sonnet--and the man guiding the pen is divine!

Warm morning hugs, a smile, and a wink!

It's I that am the thankful one.

JM,
My two cane Yipe, OH, OWE song hasn't changed
but I felt I had to answer my Tinkerbell.
Buttered pop corn reminds me to much of snap crackle and pop, so I'll skip the pop corn for now but take the TLC.

Chris,
Muffins and tea are great. Thank you

Nancy,
Sunday hugs back.

In reply to Enchantress's comment....I didn't say "whose" oven the muffins were coming from.    It's the thought that counts...right Seymour? Once my sister and I made tarts...and well, they were later used as ashtrays....and then there was the time we....

Seymour, is it raining a lot in your part of Florida? It is here, and makes the bones ache sometimes. Hopes all's well with you.

I love your poetry no matter what time of day or night I get to read it.

Heart Hugs,
Ethel

(smiles) And each coming morning we get to behold a different side of the moon you dance upon! (big hugggsssssss) Walk out on Saturns rings and waltz back into the horizon, sweet friend, yay, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
