How was your day?
Sun filled?
shining of a breeze on cheeks
red now, from embracing
the gentle hold of hand
along deserted stretches
that led to this?

Rain dripped?
But wrapped in grey’s
Warm wrap of patchwork
Thoughts and memories?
Leaving an echoed beat
To that of your own?

Bustled?
Shoved and pushed to
Commercial tunes
That left you in syncopated rhythms
Contemplating drive home
Along crowded concrete trails
That echo more the hurry?

Silent?

How was your day?
I wanted to make sure someone
Asked.

Thanks for asking Ron! I enjoyed reading this. Your words were so descriptive. Hope you had a good day, cause I did. Great work!

glad your day went well! and thanks for reading..and saying a few words..

the intent..in some ways of this ( I know you didn't ask..but I feel talkative or at least talkative for me..lol) was to illustrate that the simple act of asking someone how their day was..and meaning it.being willing to listen to the truth of how it was... can make all the difference in the world sometimes... there are all sorts of ways to touch and need to be touched... I thought this just another...

Ok..I'm done... LOL

thanks again

Hi Ron...My day was fogged in morning and sunned afternoon up to the 70 degree mark and through hills of green with yellow mustard.  How was your day?  Thanks for your sweet heart!

(smiles) To be 100% honest with you, I had a rather pleasant day, mid-term preparations can be exhausting nevertheless it was so warm here in Denver today, twenty degrees over the average for this time of year, and had some nice Indonesian Thai noodles at Noodles and Company and got a nice lime sherbet at the ice cream shop! (big hugggsssssss) Now tell me about your day, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ron, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

this was my favorite..I will have to remember to say "rain dripped" in the future..I like that vision.

So, how was your day? you already know how mine has been (still haven't heard about my car and they are probably closing by now. guess that means I watch Gone With the Wind tonight.)

Yep, thanks for asking...battling a sinus infection here, but the medicine's working...parting the clouds all the more, letting the sun dry the drips in my heart and upon my lips. It strengthens the shadows as it brightens the light, too.

M... it is always tough when things begin to break..or just frustrate you with there own little quirks... I hope tomorrow bring a better day for you....

VAS.. sorry to hear about the sinus infection..they can indeed be miserable..and between them and the medicine it is easy sometimes to see the shadows a bit differently..and to have a bit more than usual bend to our introspections.. hope you feel better soon...and can enjoy the sun.

Thanks for asking Ron!
Had to go to an old friend's funeral..
But the day was bright and clear..
the snow is beginning to melt.
I'm feeling great!
Spring is not far away...

And you?...........

Have a great weekend!

This is a great idea. How strange my son (very private, and never hear from him ~enough~) sent me this morning an e-mail (didn't take time to see where he got it) with exactly the same sentiment, only included multiple suggestions of how important it is to make contact with others, caring and sharing and asking more often. You managed to put it all in a nut shell, for that e-mail went on and on and I had to skim read it, because I was busy learning more about poetry writing...my favorite pastime...grin, thank you...

I have Fibromyalgia and have 8 hours of energy (usually painfree because that's when I take the pain pills)  to accomplish everything that needs to be done in any 24 hr. period. Which is NOT possible since I work 3-4 hours daily....so my days are always frustrating, pain filled after the 8 hrs. and, yet, I am getting through them, somehow...if I don't mind the zoombie look! as sleeping  is a problem.  That's the down side. The up side is I heard from my son today, I have a computer, I am writing poetry again after years of not, I am well spiritually, mentally and emotionally, the snow level will stay at the 5,000 ft., I am at 2,000+ ft.level so I don't have to worry about it driving in it.  The fog disappeared before I had to drive in it this  AM...and I am flat out happy to be alive and living.
And I rarely talk to anyone because I've always been a listener, not a talker, but you'd not know it with this reply. I am going to start a new medication tomorrow afternoon and I hope it will knock me out around the clock, to gain desparately needed sleep. So I may not be on-line for a week or so...I am sure this is much more than you wanted to know, but I feel good having this one way conversation. Grinning and smiling, hope you have a wonderful week-end!

Hugs, Pat

Thank you for asking, even if it was the bustling part of your poem, at least it had some special greetings in it, like this...

and how did your day go, Sir?  Did you have any special surprises that brought a smile to your face?  I hope so...

What a neat poem- My day was pretty nice, actually. The evening got worse. I lost 35 cents to Mom at poker. She also won 35 cents last night from me. I never play more than the 35 cents because losing more than that would annoy me. Otherwise, things are good.

Mine was the filled kind...quietly helping my loved ones, at least the ones who are near enough that my hands can do them any good, and wishing mightily about the rest.

Thanks for asking, eh? Especially in such a moving way.

well its 6 AM, I've been up all night, I feel rotten, I don't feel like I'll be feeling better anytime soon, I have a million things to do and no one who really cares enough to help, not that I'd expect them to. And I think my sister just stole some more stuff from me. And.. well you seemed to care but I think I've said enough to stop the caring lol. Wonderful poem, it made my day just a tad better I really am happy, blessed, and smiling!! Mercies are new everymorning and ah its beautiful out!
Thank you for this

Always, Alyssa
