Too Dry to Cry

the morning
seeks the sunrise
as the clouds
reluctantly part

they seem
to be filled with
a sadness
they cannot weep

as if the sun
brings just enough light
just enough cheer
to dry
the release
of just enough tear

so they linger
hover
slowly progress
from gray to white
evolving within the light

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This is beautiful, the image, the poem. It makes me ache a bit.

(big hugggsssssss) Can't cry out here either in Colorado, we're in an intense drought situation and have to cry sand! (sigh) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Virginia, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

very nicely done VAS... nice imagery and progression of time..that hints at emotions and perhaps the writers own mind set...

I enjoyed this.. weird and amazing how nature can be so much like us. But then, this morning I went for a walk in the pouring rain while the sun rised. Beautiful though!
