~*~*~*~*~

Slanting across the sand
where rays of sunlight beam
lying horizontally
braced against the breeze.

Brushing summer highlights
that comb along the shore
skirting underneath
lying in the curvature.

Rising with the tides
fanning out across the sea
basking warm in the rapport
turning tan lines over intimately.

Excellent! I love the rhythm of it, and it's even better concidering I'm going to the beach tommorow! I'm one large tan line though, being a near albino. ^_^;...Enjoyed it very much, and you're a rather awesome writer! Looking forward to more!

This is so well written. Subtly sensual with great imagery.

Hi Lori...I think if you curve into the sand enough, the wind just passes by and only the sun favors you.  Enjoyed this!!

I knew I was asking for it, given the title and all.  It's just that I'm missing the warmth that color my days during the summer months. I've an affinity for the sun that goes way back.

Thanks for all your nice replies everyone.

Hey Michele~ You caught me in between turns!

Thanks for reading and for sharing your raw humor.  I really need the hedge to grow in my backyard so I can get away with it.

It?

Hi BC~ and thanks for the read.
Don't leave home without packing up your cooler.  You might ask Cpat if he's willing to share his sunscreen.  I don't know,  he might get a little wishy washy but it never hurts to ask.  Trust me, (that's what he lead me to believe anyway)
