I saw a painting on a wall -
So marvelous in fine details,
Its colors so lifelike and bright,
It seemed to call my name out loud.

I looked and left and stared and fled,
But still returned to look again,
And one day blinked and stood inside,
Surprised at my audacity.

I traveled on its well kept paths,
And forded its winding streamlets,
And listened to its birds and beasts,
And seemed to hear them speak my name.

I lingered in quaint villages
With bright and sweet smelling tearooms,
With dark, loud, beckoning taverns
Which seemed to welcome all who strayed.

I heard a serpent whispering:
"This place is not for such as you!"
And blinked again and stood outside.
Relieved at my awakening.

I see a painting on a wall -
Outlines blurred and run together,
Its colors so faded and gray.
It seems to call my name out: "Fool!"

STANDING OVATION!!! Oh my gosh, do I ever know this feeling too, I am enthralled by so many different kinds of art and I always get that feelings like I'm being watched, after all, what is art for if you feel nothing in response? This is a very catching debut, sweet friend, I LOVE IT!!! Welcome to Passions, sweet friend, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you for being so welcoming, especially since I did not mean to post this as a book submission! (stupidity in not reading what I was checking.)

Ngoliant, Welcome to Passions!  A strong first write, and I hope to see more, but one thing you are not, and that is a fool.  Please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting!
