The cold touch of frozen ground
The whisper passed inside the wind
I heard your name so recently
Tearing holes inside of me

My heart a beating wound
An aching emotional scar
That grows in size to extreme
To break down my boundaries

The past can't live to be forgotten
Time can't erase lost dreams
Clasping my head I find myself
Being destroyed as I hear your name

Every second of swallowed grief
Leads a memory to my shallow home
To sufficate in my shadows
As my wish for you to go away

The tears I bleed to your sight
It's not enough for me
To link the past to be nothing
And forget it all to be

To forget the world we once held
And push it all away
To know that I have no power
Towards what I can not change

Everything out of my distance
I can't catch up to times
I can't control what burns inside
Denial makes this all so real

Denial, killing me inside
