were it not for Spring,
wrong would rule
raw and mireful tunes
Spring, kindred and soft,
touches sweet Harmony,
worships Her steps
and Love forgives the wanton refrains
of yesterdays cold and cruel

hush, hush, the suspicions of otherwise
Spring is the most ethereal
-other seasons have their glory;
were it not for Spring,
harder seasons would not listen
and the men of today
would have spikes on their feet

I knew if I waited,
you would write
Spring...
and you did!
