Irreverence

Propped against daggared pillows
On a bed of
Boiling acid
Irreverence lives
Inside the walls
Infecting the occupant inside
Do not inhale the
Poisoned air
Which fornicates in
Hell
Ptomaine scented candles
Have their own way
Of making life
Worth dying
The wallpaper
Sheds some tears each night
And Humms to
The wordless songs
Inside my
Disgrace.

this is so powerful and vivid.
I read it earlier and liked it but couldn't decide what to say. Still not quite sure... but I like it in a pained and grimacing kind of way.

Always, Alyssa
