Flight of the Mind

Eternity’s a hollow drum.
A formula I cannot sum
Or add the stitches that I sew
On a blanket I cannot know.

Each feather adds to my wings
Lifts me higher into things
Yet still I cannot see what’s there
Horizons are forever’s stare.

I’ve searched each chanced on wishing well
And visited the edge of hell.
I’ve sailed the sea in storm and fair
And did what many would not dare.

I’ve covered most allowed to me
And hovered in the doldrums sea
I’ve sailed within the void of mind
And cast my spirits past its rind.

I’d swear forever cannot be.
Yet, eternity laughs at me.

==================================

Thats because "he's" not read your poetry.
He knows not of your couplets engraved on infinity.
Your verses of wisdom and your rhymes divine ...
will linger beyond the realms of time.

Poetically you've written your name 'cross the sky ...
and I do so enjoy me cadenced clouds of Sy-guy.

JM,
Am I up late or are you up early? I was out looking for eternity what's your excuse.
Randy just went in to put on the double saddle I think he wants to take us somewhere. I could do with a little fantasy.

Seymour - hmmmm...I've sailed some stormy seas myself a time or two. Thankyou for such wonderful words this snowy(will it ever stop?) morning. Apple turnover? hugs, Chris
