Their eyes have seen the darkness
have met the soul within
Yet, they did not hear
nor listen

To the rushing of the wind
when it brushed . . .

Ohhh . . . so gently by fallen tears
An angel gracing their every step and movement
like a concerto in Heaven

  - but now I understand -

They could not love you
Perhaps they never will

But still . . .

I tried to enlighten
I tried to explain
Shattered heart
in vain
Pain
go
gently
from
me
now

Please . . .
For my love was true

Yet they did not listen
Perhaps they never will

But still . . .

"The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye.  Until we meet again."    - James Marshall Hendrix

Sue,

Such a gentle heartfelt write. My take on this, from my experiences, is simply some are spiritually blind. And, only that being higher than an angel or a human can cause ~sight~.

But, where there is love there is hope.

Sue, this is a really pretty poem. All your poems seem so real. I like the way you write them. I'm glad you came here to be part of this "Family Of Friends".

Ethel - you touch me deep - and I must say if you have ever read anything of Morrison -he referred to his band, "The Doors" - as a  "feast of friends"  -  his eternal union - complete - whole - private - this is what you reminded me of with your lovely words and thank you - makes me feel at home

it hurts, aches, so much when they just ~can't~ listen... kind of makes a person feel guilty. But still... I like your hope, I can feel a gentle determination here. Very good and very much enjoyed.
Thank you

Littlewing,

It is such a great pleasure that you love to read my poetry, since im such a young poet, at the age of 14. It means alot to take after a great poet as yourself. I hope I will take after your lead in my days to come.
