These gatherings a last attempt
In graceful lace of winter spent
This silent fall of fluffy white
Will seek its end upon daylight

For this the final curtain call
Of snowy dreams in last of fall
And welcome now the new veneer
As spring arrives to bathe with cheer

For every fluffy flake drops three
From icy chill to green topped tree
Another season saunters in
These glimpses of new growth again

In showers of the last to know
Reluctantly too warm to snow
This silent time of calm rescinds
To bring again the bold March winds

I admire the way you rhyme your words without forcing them and leave the reader in thought.

It is wonderful TD~

yeah your rhymes are good. i wrote an epic that should have been called captain obvious, it was so stupic because of how the rhyme scheme was.

but yours is great

Kathleen,

I was going to quote some of your phrases such as:

"graceful lace of winter", but when I reread this each and every stanza is so beautifully written, I cannot, and it would do the entire poem, injustice to single out such.

Just know how much I enjoyed this and how very lovely it is.

Hugs, Pat

Kathleen, it'll be good when Spring gets here in full bloom, won't it? I love the beautiful flowers blossoming. The azaleas and roses are always beautiful in this part of Florida.

The snow has been here long enough, and so it bids us all farewell until next winter season. WE HOPE !!! Enjoyed. Chris
