On this day a young man is gonna ask his girlfriend to marry him
He is out searching for the perfect ring
He already set up a dinner date

He goes into the jewelry shop
Looks at all the rings
Then after an hour
He spots the perfect one for her

As the time draws nearer
Nervousness sets in
His heart beats 100 beats a minute
He hopes that is the limit

Later that night they are at dinner
She can tell he is nervous
Then he gets down on one knee
She asks, "What are you doing?"
He says, "Asking you to marry me."

He opens the box with the ring in it
She stares at him and then the ring
Tears fill her eyes
As she says yes

Then he slips the ring on her finger
And says, "Soon we will be married. Together forever."

Cold hands means a warm heart

Julie,

I do like how you take a simple 'moment in time' that we all experience or think about, and write a poem. This brings thoughts and memories and does make me smile.

I agree. Julie does that so well.

What is life without poetry and adventure?
"Little sister" is just another way of saying "Guardian Angel"!
