~* Castle In The Sand *~

Midnight chimes through a velvet sky,
Two sit together heart and hand.
The ocean glistens under the moon's smile,
On two sets of footprints in the sand.

Two hearts yearn under starry skies,
With love that burns passion's fire.
Two share kisses on the beach,
While souls fill with desire.

I too remember of the days,
Those sweet and warm summer kisses.
Growing older you remember most,
Those things that your heart misses.

The days I walked along the beach,
Holding onto his big, warm hand.
The summer I spent with him,
Making plans for our castle in the sand.

Just like sand, it sifted away,
The love two shared in those days.

So beautiful..yet so sad Sharon.
Such a feeling of longing and melancholy came over me...

Much enjoyed and the accompanying pic is perfect!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sharon, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I know this feeling ever so well, I could of sworn last summer would have been my summer of love with Joanna, then on New Years Day this year she just told me the truth after 8 months of hiding it from me that she had someone else and she never loved me at all and now my heart is gray again! (sad sigh) I don't know, I've been thinking maybe love just isn't for me and I should just leave it to all those who really need it out there, this is very heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sharon, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I am sure there are so many out there that planned futures and either they didn't last or were shaped into something other than they had built in their mind at the time.  A sand castle they wished had never been knocked over.

Thank you for enjoying this one, I was remembering someone special today.

Sharon, this tore at my heart. You are such a gifted and talented writer and always know the words to make the reader 'feel' what you are saying.

Great poem my friend.  Hugs, Marti

Thank you for enjoying this one.  It is kind of funny that no matter how much time passes, or what bitterness there was at the time, that special person that you once shared a life with remains in your heart and memories forever.

This reminds me of the many times I've listened to the Moody Blues singing "then the tide rushes in and washes my castles away"... listening is so much easier and prettier than living it. *S*

This is poignant and beautiful, Mysty One... well written! *S*
