Trying To Understand

I stood there
watching you from a distance
not knowing what to do or say.
I was trying to understand
why my heart was feeling this way.
As I watched you leaving
I realized how much
I wanted you to stay.
I caught myself
caring for you
today.

Wow. There's a lot packed into this deceptively simple poem.

today

James, I like this...
because it's more about
her
than anything else...

well done!
