I want to feel safe
god I long for peace
I want to feel happy
wipe away tears for good

I want a real smile
to escape from my lips
too feel kid like again
to never worry or fret

What happened to the days
where my biggest worries were
if my blocks were going to fall
tumbling down my castle so tall

Is there really a break from
this adult life i dreamed of
is my final resting place really
the only break I'll ever get

For now I'll imagine
and rely on memory
to give me a breather
and feel like a child

Safe....peace  I too long for that.... we may find our own peace but will we ever feel safe....heart hugs, I indeed felt the longing in this....
