Five Different Crayons

Primary colors, plus one, or two
please monitor not the lines ~
lest I escape quickly should
I cross the black,
then turn a page,
hold yet wax
warming senses with pungent
smell of color…

tactile measures lend all senses
so breathe deep in the ocean’s blue,
take share in color green
spread shine of a yellow sun,
then gray on white as clouds may run
but tears won’t run this hue…

for wax won’t streak a
color’s way, ‘tis not colors spread
by water’s say

I painted once with chalk on black,
as dust filled up my air,
then waters colored streamed away,
no patience stilled me there…
I waxed my way through colors five,
plus one or two, and more…

where wishing wells and sea-foamed shores
filled a bedroom’s floor…

mountains gave me peaks to see
and Tibetan bells sang to me
as birds in air flew far to see
all miracles of life,
which grew within my colors rare

five different crayons, rife.

You put your signature of imagery in all you write...and we are better for what you see.  KJ

Karilea--I don't know much about painting, except with words...seems you do both.
