First Day of Spring Begins---- challenge from Sunshine

The smell of fresh white cotton
out there snapping in the wind.
The magic and the strength behind
a little wooden pin.

Days when trees and bushes carry
the scars of winter chill.
Hearts burning with spring fever,
my old soul remembers still.

Young children running, swinging
winter coats above their head.
With just this first hint of warmth
they forget what mommy said.

Eyes measure out a patch of ground
to plant with tiny seeds.
Old muscles flex, prepared for aches
from bending, pulling weeds.

Thoughts turn to pastel colors,
chocolate bunnies, Easter time.
First day of spring begins
with sheets just hanging on a line.

Remember me with a smile on your face, or please don't remember me at all.

Reads like a breath of fresh air, it's my kind of breezy stuff. As odd as it may seem, I like hanging clothes on a line.

Anyway, this was refreshing.......the Spring at it's very best.

I enjoyed this a whole lot!!!!
