I read your words
and sense your struggle
as you try to keep
dignity and humour intact
as uncertainities hold
your spiralling-out-of-control world
at gun-point,
slowly ravaging its innocence

handicapped by an age
that numbers 23
but feels like 17
and
crippled by a sorry existance
I naively imposed earlier,
I abandon the long trudge
to your universe at start point

sometimes emotions overwhelm me and words fail me
other times my extravagrant whines consume me

I wish there were
some well-meaning perfect
that insists on
playground bullies Osama and Saddam
shaking hands and making up with
gung-ho monitors Bush and Powell,
freeing ordinary kids such as you
to thrive in an innocence

but no Marvel Comic hero arrives
and I'm sorry you're hurting

kaile, you have just given me the warmest heart hug possible. My day will glow with the warmth of the BEST of humanity, thanks to you. I wish for you great Peace and happiness, and know you personally do more than your share to make this a loving world. You've touched my heart deeply.
Namaste and Peace, always. Kacy

LOL. See what you've done!
Now with that edited last line, I am laughing!
You are a great friend!
Marvel...yes, time for some fun.

Kacy,
you're welcome...read "the fetal position" and "dark thoughts for the day" (from Dark #3--title remembered correctly?) and realised that this dark side of you i recently witness is graver than i have thought and is probably going to stay a while...

just sorry that i have so little words for your insecurities...a thoughtful personal email requires more energy than this selfish me is willing to give at this point and ya, i haven't quite mastered the art of leaving worthwhile replies on your threads, not even in the three years i have been here

hope this musing helps a little

Your replies are ALWAYS thoughtful, and no one is lazier than ME about emails. Just ask the ones who I rarely reply to except in my mind.
You are GREAT.

Kacy, I'm smiling at Kaile's reaching out...and your acceptance...this is wonderful, but I had to smile just a bit broader at that last line of yours...because I SWEAR my family and friends are inside, reading my thoughts...always!

LOL at that reply, dear Sunshine. Guess that's why whispering was invented?
