Somewhere... out there...

~*No Matter*~

scream!

cry!

but why bother
to feel the pain that comes
with lack of voice...
of being heard?

why bother...
when sounds echo off battered walls
of an empty heart?

why...
when pain is constant-
when hearts bleed with each breath
and eyes cry with every blink?

who eases breath?
who catches tears?
who hears the lonely cries
of a lost soul
in search of home?

any home...

no one...
no one hears...

no one sees...

no one cares

ears...
deafened to all
except for one
and one
is all they hear...

all else is silenced

eyes...
blinded to all
except for him
and he
is all they see...

all else is blurred

breath...
no need for this
he breathes
and all is well...

he breathes...

no others exist

no friends...
who once held trembling hands

who listened
when voice of sadness cried

who cared...
no matter what...
no matter when

no matter...

no matter...

for he is all
that matters

anymore

This had an ache in it that went right to the core of my being.  No one should be that alone.  The one saving grace is the faith to turn that that "one", and hand over feelings of unworthyness and invalidation, for in that "one" we are so special and important.

Wow Vicky, this was excellent writing.

Vicky, this piece screamed of sadness and loneliness but I couldn't stop reading it. Wonderful write.

I could just sink into this and cry... you really have the power here to evoke so much.
Excellent writing.

This was immensely powerful... it unsettled me very much, largely because it sort of touched on something very personal. You write it very well, and you gave me the chills. I'm going to be reading this again.
