Inside the shadow's shadow

0 posted 2003-03-08 01:23 PM

When winter chills are disappeared
When sunlight warms your skin
Is it possible you'll forget about me
Is this a game you'll win?

When I no longer need to warm you
Against the harsh, cold air
Will you take your hand away from mine
Will you forget we stared

Into eachother's eyes for hours
Getting lost in eachother's souls
When your hand no longer trembles cold
Will you throw away my role

As the one who keeps you warm at night
And safe within my arms
The one who'll only bring you love
And promises no harm?

Is this a love you'll soon forget
When the sunshine greets your face
And the warm air twirls about your hair
And the grass is soft as lace...

Drifting snow melts into the thirsty ground
And yes, I still get lost
Inside those hazel planets of eyes
Even though there's no more frost.

No matter what the season be
My love for you shall stay
Spring, summer, fall, winter-
No matter night or day.

I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

(smiles) Oh Lauren, this is beautiful, sweet friend, this made me cry because this is how love should always be and sings with the sparrows in the spring, the warmth of the sun in the summer, the colors in the fall, and as soft as the snow in the winter! (kiss on cheek) Yay, this has my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

-nods to James- You're right. I'm just hoping it's not the latter..
Noah: ~hugs!~ I agree. Love shouldn't be temporary, and I'm hoping it won't be. Thank you for your kind words you always shower down! Very much appreciated and cherished.

Beautiful poem Koko. Some loves are the fall and cool into winter until they are so cold they die, others are the spring which heat into summer brilliance. Who can say how long any season shall last...

Beautiful poem, I loved it!!!

Sometimes Love is like awkward poetry, the words may not be just right
but when love comes freely from the heart the message sings!

Lauren,

Very well written. Be positive.
Spring is just around the corner and you'll fall in love all over again.
