It's in the Kiss

I woke up barely breathing
versing you in mind.
In after-hours dreaming,
the light peered through my blind.

The crescent moon was tilting
ever slight, it's phase.
Brought you to me, giving chance
to cure my dark malaise.

When silence reigns upon me,
I am lost in "Yesterday"
when whispered thoughts would mirror me,
with pictures of your stay.

I pause when you're not near me
suspended in those eyes,
memories to tide the lull,
halting morning's rise.

Most of all it's in the kiss,
from lips that tempt to please.
Induced to dream each night on end,
I fall to yours in ease.

Solitaire you've come to be,
a gem of valued grade.
But it's your kiss, that sparks the thrill
then soothes as soft as suede.

I wish sometimes that I could
reach into your mind,
your after-hours dreaming,
conveying my design.

I wish to be the content
of the pages in between,
non-fiction written in your heart
of being me, Maureen.

M

nakyd - love this:

I fall to yours in ease.

Ahhh yes - sometimes wish I had more constraint myself - is hard - excellent xxoo - but I agree the kiss - tells us all we need to know right from the very start xxoo

You charmed me with this one, my friend.

Martie, I feel like my life is "so unreal" I just want to be able to feel again. Sometimes the rhyme brings out the truth and controls what the words will be.
Thank you for your kind words.

Eric and Connel, I only write the truth *s
Thank you both.
