Naked

Clustered black pillars
Limbs naked with silent bark,
Lush green rustles wait

ah, yes, and just around the corner, lovely spring abides! Or do we and the trees abide as spring crouches down to spring upon us?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Elizabeth, this is a nice Haiku. I know in Pennsylvania Spring is still a bit away. But soon,

Your once black pillars
With bare naked silent bark
Will speak loud with Green

Beautiful.  I have recently forced myself to start reading Haiku, and now cannot figure out why I avoided them before.  I'm hooked and you just snared me permanently.

BTW 70 degrees yesterday and today here in the wonderful Sacramento suburbs.

Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn.

This is so hopeful. The renewal of spring.

I think you write these well.

Enjoyed, hugs, Pat

May love and light always shine upon you!

...the "lush green rustles" are definitely well worth the "wait"!
