When I was twenty, or was it nineteen?
So much of the world I had thus far seen
Seemed like a banquet...no wait, a bazaar--
That's a superior image by far--
A market of items from which I could choose,
To reject, to buy, to ignore, to use.
There they all waited in spendid array
For me to take what I wanted away.

Then came a transition--when I don't know,
But it seemed that items began to go.
How or why never came across starkly.
I saw it all happen through a glass darkly.

So now, on the far side of middle-age,
I sit and compose this curious page
And wonder, why am I remembering all that?
Could it be because, at the drop of a hat
Twenty--or was it nineteen--I'd revisit
To seek that bazaar and discover where is it?

But speaking as one that Time's left in the lurch,
What is as futile as that kind of search?
Besides, where it all went is perfectly clear:
It's all there with the snows of yesteryear.

(big hugggssssss) Innocence truly is a more important thing than realization, and I seriously don't think it's unorthodox as we are free in our imaginations when we are young but limited only to particular options when we grow, just like the radio stations invaded by the conformity of Clear Channel Communications! (sigh) This is well-said, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Dom, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
