It’s nearing Christmas but the day is heavy
As the clouds spill typical rain upon our day
The bus gargles through the city of many cultures
As I turn my back uncaring, unsociably

One puff to send me back to haze
To make me leave the day
To get away with the life I’ve left behind
Faze me to another time

As people judge but they have no lives
The most truthful of all is keeping me from strife
Birds fly from tree to gothic tree
It’s that time in the afternoon that you never quite want it to be
As morals, citizens and dogs roll by
Myself, my haze and I
