In Your Poetic Mind

{The music of your          heart
                      pulls water from my eyes}

              tracing       butterfly wings
along a path that only you        traveled

I     awake and touch--
                 count the raindrops

         breathe you in--

              Wearing     illusions of water      reflecting
that helpless moon
still hanging

I   stand      a l o n e

as tides      recede from shores
        laying           new stones
from the ocean's       mind

I touched you--
before I knew--
I read your words--         became re
al

             whisper upon my ears,
from  your    lips          {once more}

life

after rain

Take me where the tides start
So I can pull you into me

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, yay, I just love tyhis, sweet friend, this had me wishing so much for the spring to come so I could chase butterflies and see the rain fall again and rainbows come out knowing all is alive! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is beautiful, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Hello Lauren

This was so beautiful and reminded me of a beautiful quote I found the other day.  I thought I'd share it with you.

"Happiness is a butterfly, which
when pursued, is always just beyond grasp,
but which, if you sit down quietly
may alight upon you."

Take care......Sue

Beautiful poetess Greeneyes,
You write words that are not only meant to be heard and felt, but also be seen, I love the way you weave your words in such a sensually visual way.  Yes yes, I second Enchantress, please submit this for reflections on the Web, I very much would like to cast a VOTE!!!

I have no idea how I missed this, as could there ever be a better poem to "show who you are?"  I absolutely loved this one, and it is now one of my favorites of yours Lauren.
