Dance of the ghost-lit candle
breathless flicker
slipping through an open window
the spring brook sings a lullaby
distance coyote's moaning cry
my heart away
far away from home
i think, your eyes wide open
catching pulse of this light
i send you warm colors
till cold hands cover
absent you, I resign
to monochrome

Oh yes, Robert....I know the feeling very well of missing a loved one. My daughter and my fiance and I don't live in the same town. He is closer than she is, though.
A very good right, Sir.....

RobertFrazier~
I had such a myriad of thoughts while reading this piece.
I'll be back to try to figure out what it wants me to really hear~
There's a layer of word-thoughts just waiting to be unearthed~
Excellent when a poem can give me this kind of feeling~
