I've wandered down the road
winding it's way around and back again
leading to you
but there is always another turn to take
a twist of fate that blinds my eyes.

Like a bad dream where I'm peddling
forward faster
yet my legs don't move
and I am still here
lost inside a maze of dead ends.

My tracks left to trace back to nowhere
marked by the hands of time
that I wish to hold again
watching the world go by
looking over lands end
as the night falls still and silent
without fearing the unknown
or looking over my shoulder
for a tell tale sign
that might take me back again.

But I'm in too deep
the trees are too tall
the road too long
the mountains too high to scale
to continue and search for you
even though I know you are there
outside of my dream.

I've grown tired and weary
of going down the same road
mile after endless mile
so close to the meadow
so far from the stream that I came to find.

I'm thirsty and cold
my heart's grown weak
and I want to come inside
to rest my eyes
while I sleep beside you
gathering my peace
in another time
as my dreams go by
where I find you.

(sigh) Oh Lori, this is lovely, sweet friend, I love this, always follow your heart and find an abode wherever you feel happiest and safest and never take a path where you feel insecure or feel like you're being watched in an infamous way! (big huggsssssss) God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Lori...the thing about roads is, we must travel them, to see, to grow, to become who we are...and sometimes they are just not well paved.  Enjoyed your poem, my friend.

I have been here, done this, and bought the wardrobe to go with it, however, I could never have expressed it this well.

Lori, I've been down some pretty hard roads on the path of life, too. Ones, I wish I could get completely out of my head, and never remember again.

I could happen!
I hope the south agrees with you.
Hugs to ya~

Maureen~ It not only gets old, it's longer than I expected, but some of the twists and turns are worth stopping for despite the fact.   Thanks
