A thousand times
for a hundred reasons
I wish I had
treated her better.

And even though
she's long gone now
my love and my pain
will never let me
forget her.

James, if it's too late for this lady (actually you never know for sure) You could learn from your mistakes and treat the next one in your life the way you've learned a woman wants to be treated.

Very good. I liked your moment of insight and ability to look inward at what your part was in a relationship which didn't work.

If you can't make amends, even though relationship is over, sometimes it is best not to, at least you can be sure you'll behave differently the next time love comes around. And it will.
