Once I roamed
the makeshift jungle
one with nature
lithe but strong

Now I lay
teeth bared fierce
upon this floor
an empty skin

A throw rug

I feel the same way when I see animal skin rugs.
It creeped me out every time I went to a friend's house where there were several of them on the walls and on the floor!

Your poem is unique and has a very important message inherent in it.

I could hear their silent pained cries...

Warm hugs,
EA
