Slender Threads, Faith, and Time

I thought of you today
on the glimmer of a thread
backed up by time
where pages leaf me to laughter
and wisdom

and life is balanced

I thought of the disarray of life
as the pendulum swung back, and forth,
how we can go from gleam
to dusty fingerprints

and etchings of love
can be as fragile as crystal
or as brilliant as the faith
one is born with
or acquires

I thought of time spent
and times to come
where I might hold all
or nothing
but memories

In this hushed perusing
of my belief, designed
by a larger force,
it becomes forged more solid
than ever…

of how, without knowing, you’ve
touched me, in ways that
I will be able to return to,
through your writing

your art

your beliefs…

and how much I look forward
to more moments
spent with you
no matter how much time we have
or don’t have…

I thought of you today
on the glimmer of a thread
backed up by time
where pages leaf me to laughter
and wisdom

and life is balanced

because I will see you here

and there

on a glimmer
in time
with laughter
by wisdom

balanced.

A very lovely and loving tribute.  Altho' you wrote from your heart and not necessarily for our ears, we are buoyed by the love you show.  KJ

Beautiful...these tributes are so hard to read - each one makes me cry all over again. We have to take faith in that she is at peace and no longer in pain.

Thank you for these delicate thoughts,
so soothing.
The power to touch people that Lyra possesses, even still, certainly seems immortal.  And I have always known that you possess it too.

I'm in too gloomy a mood to have read all the way through this Karilea but I know how beautiful and fitting a tribute this is to a dear friend from a dear friend. May your words find her and her thoughts find you

Karilea, I read this early this morning and became so overwhelmed with tears that I couldn't respond. Thank you for such a beautiful tribute to a lady we will miss terribly. I still cannot believe she is gone.

Hugs to you, Marti

Karilea

This was so very beautiful and your words touched my heart.  I may not have known Lyra as well as most of you but I did know her to be a graceful and charming lady who continually encouraged me and many others.  She will be so sadly missed.

Take care......Sue
