Leaving you to dry
curling your edges with worry
testing your need of me
if only for a day
pretending i'm toughened to
playing a harmless game
can you crave like i do?

Crackling line opens
and your concern chimes
like clock grandly handsome
sweeping across
a smile is returned to the inside
lifting the bomb
cutting the fuse of confusion.

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.
