Nobody's Up

Nobody's up as late as me;
I ponder thoughts
they dare not conceive.
The empty night has
grasped upon my soul.
Thrust itslef in;
easily winning control.

Does anyone feel the same as me?
Alone with their thoughts;
at quarter past three?

Bet YOU...

I'll bet I see a quarter to three
and minutes of half-past four...
but wait, at 2:00 I brewed some tea...
and looked out my patio door...

But of course at one, it had just begun,
this traipsing of back, and forth...
and I wondered if all my friends
were sleeping from south, to north...

then at five, dawn had barely arrived,
a yawn or two finally came,
and now at 8:00, I feel like it's late,
and my schedule just isn't the same!

I do! So often I find myself, shivering, in front of my open window at 3 in the morning. Wide open, in the middle of winter and all. Alone with my thoughts, the wind, the sky, the stars...on second thought, never mind. I have all the company in the world.

That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be.

yea usually I see a couple nights, go about 70 hours, and then I get pretty awfully tired!
So trust me, you aren't alone.

Always, Alyssa

And then I'm dead tired and a total zombie all through the day...and get sick...and all those awful things. Not that I mind. My mid-night group of companions are more than worth it.

((To finish my earlier post. ))
