When God Doesn’t Answer Yes

How often we’ve earnestly prayed a request
Then saddened when God didn’t answer, “Yes”
Our faith in Him then perhaps waned
Feeling our prayers had been in vain

Remember when Jesus, in prayer, asked
If it be possible let this cup pass?
Because the Father didn’t say, “Yes”
We’re offered eternal happiness

So next time we pray for an answer
Trust the wisest to come from our Father
And if He doesn’t answer, “Yes”
Perhaps others, though us, He’ll bless

sandgrain,I also believe that sometimes god answers no

Real friends celebrate in who we are and have faith in all that we can become
Lots of Love

good poem.  Some times the best prayers are those that go unanswered.

A great write. Proving oncee again that the door is never shut without first a window being opened.
Your critique request says you need all the help you can get...I suggest you need no help at all.

Who are we to question god? and if he ever does answer no, he has his reasons.. Nothing done on earth is done for a reason.

Anyone can write, But only poets can capture the heart.

Aah, melodious theological poetry. I love the idea expressed in this, and the flow of it. Really, I don't see any need for "help". Just keep doing what you're doing, and practice makes excellence, since there is no perfection. ^_^
