face of crocus lifts

permafrost loosens its grip

robins step sprightly

yearling moose nearby

nibbling tender willow shoots

Midnitesun ~~ These are wonderful. I especially love the moose! I grew up in NH and have never seen a moose; before I leave this earth, I am bound and determined to see one. I'll probably have to camp out in the winter woods!

Hugs, Marti

Nice work.

Moose are cool. They have such incredibly long legs...they make me jealous, as I'm only 5'3"!
Yes, you must see a moose, and an arctic fox.

Yes, Jason, this form IS the imagery of nature. Thanks for reading. Now maybe go try some haikus and senryus, and maybe a tanka or two.

rk, moose are huge, taller than horses

yes, Wind, I had them in my yard the last six years in Alaska, but now that I've moved to the Denver area I only see the two-legged kind LOL

I love these, Kacy. As I've told you before, probably, I love Haikus and senryus. What is the syllable count for Tankas?

Ethel

Yes ... Spring is close!
Feelings of warmth and life are in the air. We have a yearling outside of my hometown in a small swamp in the mountains .... a beautiful sight seeing it standing close to Mom. Makes life liveable.

Good work!!
