Someplace Else Entirely

Grief has the weight of pressing stone
each day is one more rock on plank
marveling that gravity
degenerates my bone

It flies around each ash alone
a fluid light it rolls in me around
until I've found the squeeze that tear had bound
is really just the right of it in places human
to recognize again what always is

Oh I wish I knew this face
returning gaze so mockingly
mirroring but half of me
I note the hollows under eyes

The missing is so weep and rage
at first would seem that day cannot begin
or night regain a moon
and all the crumbled paper poems
have a face and eyes I know

Pleading with apology
fingers--chiseled perfectly
preserved by ashes of Pompeii--
I wonder how stone people breathe

Where all around once was hard rock
between the listening clock time takes us all
and leaves cement in form of name
then breathe of flower upon the ground
up from mocking fingers stand and thus
would turn to grace   yes all of us

(smiles) Wow, this is such a powerfully wonderful collaborative effort, sweet friends, behind the stone there is ineed a breathing of its own so such a foreign life that is intangible must exist! (big hugggsssss) I love this, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Karen and Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ladies~
I will be back to read this beauty over and over again~
I can see so many 'heart-slices' in it ... I think a piece of it is surely from my own~

Tears ... and applause at the beauty of this work of art~

I don't like picking and choosing my favorite verse when it comes to duets
but this I loved~

The missing is so weep and rage
at first would seem that day cannot begin
or night regain a moon
and all the crumbled paper poems
have a face and eyes I know

You both have so much style~
Oodles of kudos and hugs~

Remarkable, absolutely remarkable and so very descriptive of that particular emotion.  I applaud you both, my friends.

Karen and Martie,

This is exceptional. Heart touching and amazing how you could take the "weight of pressing stone" and the "weep and rage" and allow this reader the sense of uplifting and release by writing what I've felt deeply, yet never expressed so fully.

I think the combination of your talent is phenominal. Hope you do this again.

Enjoyed a great deal,
Hugs, Pat

I've seen stone people breathe... when the weeds forge through a crack and all by force spring life to deathly stone.
love the images you created here, this is brilliant!

Martie?

It took a lot of time for me to understand what you were saying to me at the time...

How can I ever thank you?

I simply can't, yanno.

Lovely, lovely lady that you are.

and to everybody? this is all HER wisdom--I was just grieving and pissed.

SHE made it healing.
