Failure Won
~ By Sue ~

I had my morals
And my beliefs
A marriage as I recall
Is a very sacred thing
One that is for keeps

There was an inner voice
Which was always nagging me
Telling me, it was no use
I might as well just give up
Telling him good-bye, and go

My love for him was so true
The pain I felt was so real
To give in was a sign to me
Of giving in to failure
And that, I did not want to be

I stayed longer than I should have
Four years longer I continued
Just trying to hang on
Until the times got better
But failure won at last

I did all I could do
To keep those wedding vows
It seemed I had no choice
I could not do it alone
So I gave in and I left

..."but failure won at last"--a very interesting oxymoron!

You actually came out of the marriage a winner, you just may not realize that as yet!

Moving write.

Warm hugs, dear Sue,
Linda

It'll work out for the best, you'll see.

That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be.

Sue, you can write feelings from your heart so well. I know that this one hurt.

Friend, just remember that you did all you could do to make the marriage work. YOU are not a failure because it didn't work....no matter what anybody tells you.

Heart Hugs to you,
Ethel

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sue, this is so very heartfelt, sweet friend, yes, you truly are the winner, and though that may sound ridiculous, wait until you find the more sincere love! (sigh) I send angel hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Sue, I have no doubt you gave it every chance in the world....that's the way you are. Failure is not measured by success - it is measured by whether or not you gave your best. You did not fail, deal lady

When it's time to go it's time to go~
but the ache is a constant reminder of love lost and the freedom gained.

I hope it has subsided for you somewhat.

Be well Sue and carry on~

A marriage will fail every time if only one party is doing all the work...the other alternative is serving someone for the rest of your life and getting nothing in return...to me that would be the failure and a good waste of a life...a marriage in truth will always take two fully committed people...but I know what you mean...because I feel like I failed when I got a divorce...James

sad thing it is...it's a 50/50 deal, and no one can do 100 all the time...
