Love lies in wait for me
is swept into longing embrace
gives way to hands caress

Sheer slip falls away
naked to my delicate touch
fingers slide along curves

Carried over to table
anticipation hangs in the air
slowly lowered to surface

Warm glow of red light
the soft crackle of static
as the record begins

{I adore my cd's don't get me wrong, but I miss,
I LOVE, the reverance of playing vinyl records. The care and delicacy involved, the characteristics
a vinyl develops over time that makes them
unique. Sure pops and scratches were annoying
but I still smile when I hear certain cds and remember where the vinyls skipped}

Yes, the vinyls are classics!
There's a restaurant in Mexico
that have them hung from the ceiling.

Now that's art deco and nostolgia for you!

Thanks you two, I still dust mine off from time to time. There something about holding a cover too. The artwork and care put into it. The inserts and lyric sheets. Making it not just an aural experience but physical and visual as well. Although i usually listened to mine in the dark with only the red glow of the stereo light

Would not have guessed the meaning till the end. Well done, though I had a rather different picture in my mind
I love my old records too.

(smiles) Oh Raphael, this is wonderful, sweet friend, this made me smile as so many of your wonderful words do, sadly I didn't grow up during the time vinyl was popular and I wish I could play music that way too! (big hugggsssss) This is delightful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Raphael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Too young? They didn't phase out vinyl until 1989 or so trust me I remember. Between my collection, my brothers and a raid of my cousin's I went through and still have a lot.
