Ode To The Dawn

Did you see the sun rise this morn?
Rising in glory a new day was born.
The night eased away with the coming dawn,
in a magical moment the night was gone.

As the orange orb greeted the sky
I beheld the wonderment with my eyes.
A soft blanket of light covered the earth.
I had witnessed the dawn at its birth.

Then Mother Nature on timely cue
painted the skies in brilliant hues.
Colors melded together on canvas of light
a breathtaking view was held in sight.

Did you take a moment to stop and see
the grande awakening of life to be?

Donna,

"I had witnessed the dawn at it's birth"...I really like that line.

This entire poem is uplifting. Ever a new day, painted in your poetic words so beautifully.

Enjoyed, Hugs, Pat

Beautiful. Sunrise, and sunset, are the two most magical times of day, in my opinion. And many a'scribbles I've written of my own, though few anyone close to this one.

May I use this for s school project? We need to analyse three poems, and I need one more. Would you mind terribly? Please?

That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be.

Donna, loved the title, fascinated by the beauty of the graphic and in awe of this poem.
