Your tangible smile
is like a drink from the lake
a welcoming please
that quenches my thirst.

An impossible delight
smooth on my tongue
a slow sipping tease
that cools off my lips.

Swirling with passion
satisifying and damp
liquefies my desire
and goes down too easy.

You're a blessing in disguise
my friend and my foe
my equalizer
my darkness told.

You're my falling star
in the midnight sky
the light in my eyes
that links me to heaven.

My intimacy
in a whirlwind
the bottom line
that holds me still.

You're the longest day
a dreamless sleep
my comfort zone
my silent keep.

Hi Lori,

Tsk, at your optical illusion...

This is wonderful. I especially liked the falling star stanza and the last stanza. But entire poem reads well and makes me wish I had one of those...smiling here.

Noah~ Thank you for always leaving your kind and encouraging words.

I guess it depends on how much a person can afford to give and take, and be willing to compromise.

Thank you Lauren~

Its nice to find a comfort zone...I have noticed that it is not always my fault if a woman doesn't feel comfortable with me or around me...sometimes it is problems from their side...and also it is very refreshing and valuable to find someone you feel comfortable with and they with you...its almost like there's nothing you can do...either they like you or they don't...James
