For My Grandmother Eva 6/10/1907-3/1/2002

There's nothing left but Angel Wings
to remind me she still is near
no happy voice or apple pie
She has gone far away from here.

I made an album of her life
in memory of all she meant
from flapper days to modern times
She was my Gram, from heaven sent.

Sometimes at night I hear a sound
reminiscent of butterflies
in truth it is her Angel Wings
to let me know she did not die.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, your grandmother will always love you and never forget you and right now and always, she is with the stars and her heartbeat and smile is always the twinkle in the stars, saying she loves you and is always in your heart! (wipes tears) I send extra warm angel hugs your way, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Thank you everyone who reads this. It isn't my best work, because I am too emotional about it. But thank you, it helps.

Hi lil sis, and it's ok to be emotional about your Grandma...I know I am, and this poem is how I feel about her, too.  Beautiful, and full of memories!

Yes you put your heart in these beautiful, touching verses.
I especially love the "sound of butterflies ..", this IS the connection.

This is a very nice, sweet poem. I like the idea of 'angel wings' outside your window...such a soothing, peaceful idea.

That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be.

~*~

Through sight and sounds
our loved ones live on,
it's their way of telling us
they're not really gone.

~*~

We just have to look and listen Sandra
for they are still here in so many ways,
as our memories make them immortal.

Such a lovely memory of your Grandmother.
