Saluting with misty eyes

0 posted 2003-03-01 01:47 AM

Sitting alone in the dead of night
Wondering about you; where you are:
Are you sleeping?
Are you awake?
Are you alone tonight,
Or have you looked to another
To make the night pass without lonliness or fear?

Does sleep come easily to you,
Or is your mind restless; troubled?
Are you dreaming?
Is your sleep still?
Are you peaceful and calm,
Or are your eyes filling with more tears
For the loves, once held so dear, yet so often forgot.

*just for everyone's knowledge... "push nose" is the deaf sign for "stuck up" and flipping, or "waiveing" your hair is the sign for Blonde... The rest, I'm sure you can figure.

nice title...:-)  creative

as much as it may kill us sometimes...we need to be glad that 'they' have someone to be there for them, even if it can't be us...

awesome job....but you didn't submit it for the book, so I can't vote

That hits home.  I stay up all night because I can not sleep.  I constantly wonder what she's doing and if she feels the same way I do.  Good poem, but why did you have to bring it up?

(smiles) Oh Ringo, this is wonderfully inventive, sweet friend, I never knew that and what a great euphemism to throw at those who take the fact that someone out there cares for granted! (big huggssssss) You are amazing, sweet friend, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ringo, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Interesting. Thank you for giving a description for the words, I find that makes this unusual.
