I Could, Now?
I can look but
I can not touch.
Take the fire iron from
the flame and burn
my sight for evermore.
Scorch my eyes and
burn to oblivion my
power to see your
enticing face.
Construct a wall
around your allurement
to block my prying eyes
and hinder my altruism.
Squirrel your paragon
around every blind turn
and when you feel my
being, prematurely
make your withdrawl.
I can not look
I can not touch
I will forever feel.

The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love another.

James,

Welcome to Passions.

I love this poem. It must be read multiple times. Each time, it sinks right into my essence and you've managed to say how I didn't know how I felt.

Look forward to reading more of your work.

Enjoyed greatly,

Hugs, Pat

Thanks to James for finding this, I had missed your first post, rkcraig.
Intense, and the imagery scorches. Is it too late to still say welcome?

You could also let it happen, you know....as safe as walls and mazes keep you, they isolate to the same degree......

A most delectable first post. Welcome aboard!
